Artificial Intelligence

As generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, our goal is to ensure its integration supports our vision to engage, inspire, and innovate while upholding our commitment to integrity and inclusion.
 
Students and staff at AMDSB currently have access to the following AI tools through their AMDSB accounts:
 
Staff 
  • Copilot and Gemini

Students
  • Grades K-4: No access to AI tools
  • Grades 5-12: Copilot and Gemini, (including Notebook)
 
When staff and students sign in to these AI tools through their AMDSB accounts they have the following protections:
  • Data is not reviewed by anyone, shared, or otherwise used to train AI models.
  • Compliance with, Enhancing Digital Security and Trust Act (EDSTA), and Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
  • Stricter content policies that prevent potentially inappropriate or harmful responses.
