The Avon Maitland District School Board is proud to host the 4th Annual Feast on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at 62 Chalk Street North, Seaforth.
“We invite our community to join us as we celebrate Indigenous culture and come together in the spirit of learning, connection, and celebration,” said Matt Baker, Indigenous Education Lead.
This free community celebration features an afternoon of food, drumming, singing, cultural teachings, and hands-on workshops. The first 200 registered participants will receive a complimentary meal, with food provided on-site by Chiblow Fish.
Highlights of the day include:
- Guest speakers: Chief Conrad Ritchie, Kris Keeshig, and Paul Nadjiwon
- Drumming and dancing (traditional powwow)
- Variety of workshops (see attached flyer for details)
The event will also feature vendors (cash only), door prizes, and opportunities to learn directly from Knowledge Carriers and members of The Indigenous Education Team.
Registration is required by September 29, 2025. Community members can register by completing a google form.
