AMDSB Extends Strategic Plan for Two Years and Makes Small Adjustments
The Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) is currently in the final year of a 4-year strategic plan. Rather than develop an entirely new plan by rolling out another fulsome consultation process (as was completed in 2019/2020), the board of trustees agreed that the best approach was to make slight modifications and issue an extension.
After feedback on the details of the plan (graphics and wording) was collected from the trustees, director of education, senior team, administrators (principals and vice principals) and some employee groups, a modified version is being released.
Dr. Lisa Walsh, director of education said: “Our current strategic plan is clear and simple and after a few minor modifications, is now an accurate reflection of our priorities and values. Given the transition in leadership as a result of my retirement this spring, the board decided that modifications and a small extension made the most sense.”
