AMDSB Students and Staff Meet with Local MPP and Ontario Trillium Foundation to Celebrate Final Phase of Project

On Friday April 23, AMDSB students and staff along with staff from Rural Response for Healthy Children celebrated the final phase of a three-year initiative supported by a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Local MPP Lisa Thompson and John McDougall, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer, tuned in to the virtual event to congratulate the team and hear more about how the three-year, $309,500 Grow grant has increased youth engagement in sharing and shaping a youth well-being and health initiative that matters to them.

The student-led initiative has helped fund the AMDSB YOU MATTER initiative which aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote positive mental well-being and health supports in the community. The project collaborates with Rural Response for Healthy Children and the Tanner Steffler Foundation to advance the YOU MATTER message.
