Indigenous Education Advisory Committee

As outlined in the Ontario First Nations, Métis and Inuit Policy Framework (2014) as developed by the Ontario Ministry of Education each school board in Ontario is to have a Indigenous Education Advisory Committee (IEAC). This committee is to be comprised of parents, community members, teachers, administrators, who identify as Indigenous or ally ship responsibilities.

This committee is deepening the framework implementation by developing working relationships with community, sharing information, identifying promising practices and work collaboratively to support First Nations, Métis and Inuit student achievement and well-being.
